Frequently Asked Questions

No, the ImmunoNova Protocol is a private healthcare treatment pathway. However, the prescribed blood tests (vitamin D, TSH, complete blood count) can be carried out through the National Health Service with a prescription from the general practitioner, further reducing the cost borne by the patient.

There is no contractual obligation. After 6 months of consistent adherence to the therapy (greater than 95%), if no improvement is observed, the case is reassessed during the follow-up consultation to consider possible changes to the therapeutic approach. In the Institute’s clinical experience, with adequate adherence, 72% of patients observe significant improvements.

The cost decreases in the following years. The lamp has already been purchased and is no longer an expense item. From the second year onward, the treatment journey includes follow-up consultations, with a frequency that may decrease to as few as 2 per year during maintenance phases, together with probiotics, vitamin D, and topical therapies. The estimated cost ranges between €1,000 and €1,400 per year, equal to approximately €3–4 per day.

The cost of the basic protocol is the same regardless of the areas being treated. For the hands, in cases where it is required, the Repigmenta® technique (stem cell grafting) may be proposed: this procedure involves an additional cost discussed and agreed upon during the consultation, with complete transparency.

Ruxolitinib is free for the patient, but it has a cost for the National Health Service ranging between €14,400 and €28,800 per year. Free does not mean cost-free: the expense is borne by the community. It is a treatment mainly indicated for the face, and its results tend to diminish after discontinuation. The ImmunoNova Protocol costs approximately 5–15% of this amount, acts on all body areas, and is part of a treatment pathway designed to achieve more stable long-term results.
