Dr. Giovanni Menchini has been working with vitiligo for over 30 years.
He began his journey at a time when therapeutic options were limited and many of the most important questions for patients remained unanswered, particularly regarding disease progression and treatment effectiveness.
From these needs emerged a clinical and research effort focused on clarifying and measuring the evolution of vitiligo. Microphototherapy, Wood’s lamp flash photography, the Vitiligo Activity Index, and the identification of morphological signs of activity all derive from the systematic observation of patients over time. This journey led to the development of the ImmunoNova Protocol, which is now applied within the Dermacademy Institute by a team directly trained by Dr. Menchini, according to a shared method that ensures therapeutic continuity and consistency.
Throughout his career, he has treated more than 4,500 patients, published in international scientific journals, and presented his work at major congresses, from the AAD in San Francisco to the AIDA National Congress. His approach maintains a clear objective: to enable patients to fully understand their clinical condition and to face their therapeutic journey with concrete and measurable guidance over time.

Dr. Chiara Scacciati, directly trained by Dr. Giovanni Menchini in the ImmunoNova Protocol, is a key reference within the team for the management of aspects related to the gut microbiota and clinical nutrition.
Her work focuses on developing personalized dietary plans, evaluating gastrointestinal function, and targeted modulation of the microbiota through the integration of probiotics and vitamin D, calibrated to the characteristics of each patient.

Within the team, he is particularly responsible for monitoring clinical progress and analyzing therapeutic data.
